This is level that we consider to be the minimum industry standard for screen combat.
This course is suitable for those that have passed the foundation course (of the same tier) or have a valid qualification in a recognised stage/screen combat academy (see below for recognised qualifications).
This is the ideal course for those that want to become professional performers in screen combat and an essential part of the training journey towards being an action actor or stunt performer.
Students will recap and consolidate the foundations of fight performance for camera. Building on previous training this course will introduce more complicated techniques, scenarios and choreography - including multiple opponents and group fights.
As before fights and scenarios will be filmed, watched and evaluated before repeating to apply lessons learned.
The three days will culminate in a series of assessed performances on camera in which students will hear constructive feedback on their scenes and the areas they should work to improve. Students passing the assessment will be eligible to continue to the next 'Advanced' level.
Recognised training that may be substituted for taking the Foundation level include: any BASSC or SAFD sword-based accredited course or BADC Standard / Level 1.

"I expected a high level of professionalism, experience and knowledge from the teacher, and for this to be passed on in a clear, safe and most of all, enjoyable way. Not only did it meet my expectations, but exceed them".
