This first level is suitable for all. Particularly for those with little or no training, but also anyone with more training and/or experience but wish to master the basics and understand the core fundamentals of the further levels.
If you want to become an action actor, stunt performer or special action extra, this is the first step in your journey to mastering fighting for screen.
Students will learn the basic foundations for good fight technique, performance and camera awareness with moves and styles specific to weapon work.
Concentrating mainly on one-to-one choreography students will work with partners to learn and perform fight scenes, which will be recorded and replayed for notes and evaluation, then students can apply their notes and improve.
The three days will culminate in a series of assessed performances on camera in which students will hear constructive feedback on their scenes and the areas they should work to improve. Students passing the assessment will be eligible to continue to the next 'Standard' level.

I expected a high level of professionalism, experience and knowledge from the teacher, and for this to be passed on in a clear, safe and most of all, enjoyable way. Not only did it meet my expectations, but exceed them.
I thought they were brilliant, they were always willing to help you as an individual, not just a pupil in a class. They were able to continuously adapt to individuals changing levels of experience and understanding, while helping you to push yourself.
It didn't feel like a class, it felt more like having a laugh with some friends, but still we managed to learn, be safe and push ourselves.
