The broadsword has captured the imagination of story tellers for centuries, often linked with the hero and their quest. From fantasy characters such as Aragorn (LotR) and half the cast of Game of Thrones, to theatre classics such as Macbeth and Robin Hood it's a weapon actors can expect to come across time and time again. The course will focus on the hand and a half sword allowing the single handed or two handed use.
During the course students will learn the techniques required to perform an effective broadsword fight. The course will also focus on acting skills and students will be expanding upon their knowledge of performing a dramatic fight scene with dialogue.
Students have the opportunity at the end of the course to take the British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat Fight Performance Test providing industry recognised certification. Please note the examination fee of £35 is collected by ID Fight upon behalf of the BASSC upon course enrolment and will be paid to the BASSC. If you do not wish to take the fight performance test please let us know before the commencement of the course and we can refund you the £35.

I felt so happy going into the class everyday knowing I was being taught by the best and that Ronin was open to having every single story or technique that he experienced to be passed onto us as learners. I always wanted to be better because Ronin put that pressure on me to improve whilst also being incredibly kind. I'm looking forward to booking my next course, I can't wait to get started again. I have already passed on my feedback to fellow actors I know because ID Fight should be recommended to every actor who has the money and spare time to learn another skill.
