Description

Step into the world of domestic, police, and gangster action roles with confidence and authenticity. From gripping crime dramas to intense thriller sequences, believable firearm handling is crucial for actors, directors, and stage managers.

On set is not the place to experience theatrical firearms for the first time. This course equips you with the knowledge, skills, and safety awareness to handle firearms convincingly — using blank-firing, airsoft, and prop handguns — while keeping every performance safe and professional.

Who Is This Course For?

Anyone working in performance who wants to portray firearm use convincingly and safely:

  • Actors preparing for action roles in police, gangster, or civilian contexts
  • Stage Managers and Directors who want a deeper understanding of firearms on stage or set
  • Performers seeking screen-ready skills and confidence with handguns
  • Creatives eager to expand their toolkit for realistic, safe, and controlled action sequences

What Will You Achieve?

By the end of the course, you’ll have hands-on experience with:

  • Firearm safety and law: key legal principles and on-set protocols
  • History of firearms: understanding design, evolution, and context
  • Dos and Don’ts: essential safety rules and best practice for performance
  • Handgun handling: drawing, loading, reloading, aiming, and moving safely
  • Disarms and firearm combat: performing realistic tactical exchanges
  • Blank-firing skills: firing techniques, timing, safe protocols for stage and screen

Through practical exercises and continuous feedback, you’ll develop the confidence to look competent, natural, and in control in any firearm-focused scene.
