Rigging for performance and stunts
Suitable for those with no rigging experience, or those wishing to move from other rigging disciplines into performance rigging, such as stunt or circus rigging.
During this four-day course, we'll be covering the principals of rigging for human flying and performance as well as looking at the differences between stunt, circus and other kinds of rigging.
Participants will learn rigging fundamentals to first keep themselves and others safe when building and operating rigs, including rigs unique to stunts.
Participants will learn common equipment and how to choose and rig the right equipment for the right circumstances, the law, regulations and responsibilities in rigging and working at height, understanding the considerations for rigs with dynamic loads and safe operation and communication for working with a performer in the rig.
The course will consist of a balance of theory and hands on practical work. Rig operation will coincide with IDs Fight & Flight wirework performance courses to get valuable experience working with real performers and the variables involved.
